HOW TO GET TO THE JOŽEF STEFAN INSTITUTE
By local buses (Ljubljanski potniški promet – LPP)
In Ljubljana the public transportation is by buses. The fee of €1.5 can be paid with the Urbana Card, which can be bought for €2 at newsstands, tourist offices. Credit can be added for any amount up to €50 at ticket machines (Urbanomat) which are scattered around town. The fee includes unlimited number of bus changes within 90 minutes period. For group transport, one card is sufficient, just inform the driver in advance on how many persons you are paying for. The fee can also be paid by payment cards, but a free-of-charge change between buses within 90 minutes is not possible.
From the main bus and train station take local bus number 2 (direction NOVE JARŠE), 9 (direction BARJE P+R) or 27 (direction NS RUDNIK). At Ajdovščina station change to the bus number 1 (direction DOLGI MOST P+R) or 6 (direction DOLGI MOST P+R). We recommend taking bus number 1, as it stops at the side entrance of the Jožef Stefan Institute, on Jadranska station. Bus number 6 stops on Hajdrihova station, about 5 minutes walking distance from the Institute.
